COMPANY HISTORY

Lawrence and Dorothy Fields started the roofing company known as Fields Roof Service in 1957 in Wenatchee, Washington.  A few years later, Larry, Dorothy and their family migrated to Western Washington and settled in the Kent valley.

Larry Fields developed a process by which refined asphalt cement could be heated to a temperature that allowed the asphalt to be pumped through a hose and sprayed onto the roof.  Over the years his process and original equipment have been refined and improved into the equipment FRS uses today.

Almost fifty years later, the company employs over 50 people during the peak-roofing season and operates around thirty large vehicles and many small equipment items.

FRS is still located in the Kent valley and able to service customers from Bellingham to Vancouver, Washington.
